The Olympic Peninsula

To help my knee recover for Halloween weekend Cross Crusade I took a trip to the Olympic Peninsula and visited Cape Flattery, the most Northwest point of the lower 48 as pictured above. This is the view looking south out towards the Pacific Ocean, on the other side is the Juan de Fuca strait as pictured below with Canada just visible on the horizon.

The 1/2 mile trail out there wasn't too shabby either as seen below.

After heading into Olympic National Park we went up to Hurricane Ridge where I saw, quite possibly one of my favorite views of all time.

A trip all the way up North wouldn't be complete without visiting the Hoh Rainforest, but its beauty this time of year may be best captured by view from the road out. If you ever doubted the ability for a cell phone to take a good shot, this photo is proof that they can.
