- [2025 Harvest Cyclocross: Oak Hill School](https://spritzcam.com/index.php/2025/09/14/2025-harvest-cyclocross-oak-hill-school/): A proper cyclocross course that heavily favored those experienced with off cambers! This race led to some amazing back and forth battles with tricky corners, unrelenting climbs, and not a lot of places to recover. A difficult course even for the most skilled riders. Twilight Operations has a classic venue here at Oak Hill School, this became one of my favorite courses on the calendar. Overall a great race for round two of the Harvest Cyclocross Series! Make sure to thank the promoters who work so hard to make these races possible for us!

- [2025 Portland Trophy Cup #1](https://spritzcam.com/index.php/2025/09/11/2025-portland-trophy-cup-1/): Cyclocross season in Oregon is now officially in full swing with both the Harvest Cross weekend series and the Trophy Cup Tuesday night series offering fantastic opportunities for folks of all speeds to race their bikes! A great opener with some tricky turns and a two barrier sections that offered plenty of opportunities for both hopping and crashing! See you all at Eugene on Saturday for Oak Hill School Cross.
- [2025 Harvest Cyclocross: Het Meer](https://spritzcam.com/index.php/2025/09/07/2025-harvest-cyclocross-het-meer/): The 2025 Cyclocross season is off to a great start in Oregon with Harvest Cyclocross: Het Meer! The sand was just deep enough to force a dismount on both the in and the out sections and barriers were poised for hopping which led to some fantastic crashes. Fantastic racing a great event production as always, I can’t wait until next weekend for the kickoff of the Junior Cyclocross Series and Oak Hill Cross!

Great vibes and summer weather made for a fun monday evening in the dirt at Portland International Raceway. Photos are mostly from the Women’s Cat 2/3 race with a few from the Open Cat 2/3 as well!

Excellent course design as you can expect from the pros at Zone 5 Promotions! Photos are from the finish of the morning wave, I think I got at least a few of everyone in the second wave, and some podium shots from wave three! The order got shuffled around a bit for some reason so you might have to dig a little bit, sorry about that!

The dirt was running incredibly fast with just enough sand to make the descents interesting!

- [2024 CX-Mas Lights](https://spritzcam.com/index.php/2024/11/25/2024-cx-mas-lights/): My last race of the season is in the books! CX-Mas Lights brought us rain, mud, mud, and more mud. Finally true PNW Cyclocross racing conditions! Easily my favorite course of the year with the tricky off camber section, the slick as snot infield, and the fast, but somehow grippy, grass turns just past the finish line. Here’s hoping this race is a permanent addition to the OBRA calendar!

The mud was so sticky my shoe got pulled off while I was running through the barriers! Photos are of all the races from the morning through to the 12:40PM race with the 1/2s.

For the first slightly damp cyclocross race of the year a ton of fun was had sliding around on the grass and the mini flyover! Hope everyone enjoyed getting spooked by me hiding under the stairs and in the corn!

- [2023 Cyclocross Crusade #6: Rainier](https://spritzcam.com/index.php/2023/11/13/2023-cyclocross-crusade-rainier/): It’s over! The 30th anniversary of the Cross Crusade is over and the mud has blessed us finally for the last three races. A great (and punishing) new course design, I’ve never wanted a geared cross bike more than today as I mashed 45rpm for most of the course and ran the rest of it. Photos are from the 12:45PM races and 1:50PM races! Please share with friends! - [2023 Cyclocross Crusade: OBRA State Championships](https://spritzcam.com/index.php/2023/11/05/2023-cyclocross-crusade-obra-state-championships/): Wow what a doozy! I shot the original start of the 12:30 Women’s race that went for about a lap before lightning delayed it, then a ton of people left, and I jumped in instead of racing singlespeeds once it started again at 2:00. Photos are from that one lap during a downpour and a thunder and lightning storm, ya’ll are the real champions.

Great course with a little bit of everything, grippy grass, slippery mud, strangely some sand from somewhere in a corner, and some Central Oregon style dirt on the back side. Managed to snag a win thanks to the fact that I found a random 34t chainring in my toolbox and threw it on last minute for a tiny 34×18 gear ratio. Burped down to 3PSI right as I went past the pit on the last lap, but held it together with some sketchy cornering. Day 2 photos can be found here!

I think I managed to hit most of the races this time except for the 7:20 race since I’m in it. Sent it a little too hard on lap 4, my bars rotated a bit and my wheel fell out later that lap! I guess through axles are superior to qr… I’m definitely bringing my strobe next week for better night shots!

I shot only a little bit of the Women’s 1:50PM race as I was dealing with some unfortunate mechanicals earlier in the day. There’s a few shots my wife grabbed from the Singlespeed race as well. Great turnout today, but I’m very excited for the Portland cyclocross scene to turn cold and muddy!
